I didn’t know this but, apparently, the word ‘t-shirt’ does not just refer to the summer garment. It can also be used to describe a very brief ‘blog posting.’  There, I bet you feel better for knowing that?

Anyway, here’s my washed, cleaned and ironed t-shirt for today.

Later this afternoon I am speaking to the Public Health Academic Network. It is a prospect that I curiously feel more nervous about than I would normally when public speaking. Perhaps it is that although our news is full of stuff about the nation’s public health, I know very little about the ‘science’ and ‘art’ of public health. Such is life.

But one of the slides I am going to show tries to encapsulate some of the trends and changing emphasis in public involvement.  It’s not exhaustive. It’s just my view. But I thought I would share it. Here goes.
