Young award winners and public involvement film showing announced @OfficialNIHR #Peoplearemessy

You may recall me reviewing ‘People are messy,’ the play about public involvement in health research that has been developed by Theatre of Debate with the support of the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). I gave it five stars.

As the play has been touring schools, young people have been invited to enter a competition by writing 140 words in response to one of the following questions:

“It is a good idea for Jake to help Adam plan his research because…”

“It is not a good idea for Jake to help Adam plan his research because…”

I am delighted to say that the winner has been announced and….well, I am not going to spoil the surprise or steal Oxford’s thunder. But you can find out who they are and what they wrote here.

There’s also going to be a special film showing of the play in London at the Roxy Cinema on the evening of 19th May. You can find out how to book a FREE place on the same page.

Now there’s a good metaphor for public involvement. What is public involvement? It’s about getting everyone on the same page.

Have a good day.
