If, like me, you missed out this morning on getting tickets to see Adele then fear not. Something much better is coming your way.

Join Dementia Research – the website which enables people with dementia, carers and healthy volunteers to register to take part in research – is going on tour.

A Join Dementia Research tour bus is hitting the road and will be visiting various points in the West of England in December. The bus – well, to be exact, the people on it – will tell the public about how volunteers can support the fight against dementia. By Christmas they hope to get 1000 people from the region to join the 13000 or so people already registered nationally on the website.

I understand that about 1 in 5 people registered have already been entered into studies which is a phenomenal achievement.

The bus will be visiting town centres in the following places and at the following times
10.00 – 15.00on:
Monday 7th December – Stroud (King Street)

Tuesday 8th December – Weston-Super-Mare (Pier)
Thursday 10th December – Swindon (Orbital Asda)
Friday 11th December – Bristol (Callington Road Tesco)

…….Mince pies will be available but not as part of a clinical trial!
