Cochrane UK and the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) are running a series of free ‘understanding research’ workshops for the public.
Actually they are about how to use research and evidence in personal and professional decision-making. Now, if only this course had been run twenty years ago………
Anyway, the first one is in Oxford on 14th May and you can book a place here. You also get lunch and a goody bag.
But others are being run throughout the year and around the country in partnership with a range of organisations including: Birmingham Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC), Glasgow Caledonian University, Plymouth Peninsula College of Medicine & Dentistry, and City University London. Other dates are as follows:
Oxford – 14th May 2014
London (AMRC) – 19th June 2014
Birmingham – 7th July 2014
Glasgow – TBC
London (City University) – TBC
Plymouth – TBC
Here’s a flyer which says a bit more and if you click on it, it will take you to the main news page at CASP all about it.
